On Saturday 20th October we joined an historical walk organised by The Friends of Wanstead Parklands around the site of the old Wanstead House and the surrounding gardens. Our guide took us to several restricted site within the golf and tennis club to show us places of interest and then on to the Grade one listed church which was built to serve the owners of the house.
